There is zero path for Kulich to make the team this year barring another injury or trade

There’s a better chance that Ryan Miller comes out of retirement to play for the Sabres this season than Jordan Greenway being a healthy scratch. Come to terms with it

2 questions. 1, who else is going to offer a top 15 pick and 3 young NHL roster players for a 30 year old pending IFA goalie? And 2, who has the brain capacity to pay a 30 year old goalie 10 mil per year for 8 years? That’s literally insanity

Swap Fabbro for the 2nd and you probably have a deal. He can play center just fine too. Was their 1C the last 15 ish games of the year when Tage got hurt and never looked back once he got that opportunity

Staying the course
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rktkt66</b></div><div>Revisionist history won't happen - even if Murray has a change of heart and decided he'd waive to go to Buffalo now after he vetoed the prospect last summer, there's no way that Kevyn Adams would want someone who already expressed previously a desire not to join the Sabres - no matter what the sweetener Toronto throws in is.
On top of that, his injury history - which the Leafs were banking on being a thing of the past when they acquired Murray last summer - continued this past season and caused a lot of instability for the Leafs. If Buffalo adds a goalie this summer, it's because they want to add stability, not create more uncertainty.</div></div>
He was bought out, not even on the roster

Curious why they’d have no interest in Mittelstadt. He had a great season and seems like a good fit for the Jets

They didn’t give up 2 draft picks to stick Greenway on the 4th line. They are going to do whatever they can to make him work in the top 9 and he was good after coming back from his injury too.

What’s your plan for Dustin Wolf? Someone’s gotta go and I can’t imagine many teams will be racing to get Markstrom, and nobody really has the roster spots or the cap space too besides Buffalo and tanking teams.

I can’t be that far off right? The Flyers 2nd will be high plus you’re getting another 2nd and another goalie prospect who was the highest goalie picked last year, plus a scratch off ticket in Weissbach who might have a chance to be a decent depth player

He will be 24 for next season and turn 25 before June 30th the following summer. If he doesn't play 80 NHL games by then he will become a Group 6 UFA in a year. So in that sense I really don't think he carries much trade value at all</div></div>
What's the price? I assume that one of Markstrom or Vladar are going to be moved to make room for Wolf

Teppo Numminen was the only RHD on the 05-06 Sabres and they were just fine. Handedness does not matter. Great defensemen can play on both sides, it’s a non issue

Handedness is the dumbest argument. Dahlin can play the right side, and Power has shown he can as well in a limited sample size this year too. Johnson has played on the right side a ton at Minnesota as well. Also, they’ll figure out the salary cap. In this scenario, there’s like 12 million coming off the books in the following offseason.

Sneaky deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Buffalove</b></div><div>Bc they have Stone & Lehner on LTIR
Putting 14.5mil on LTIR didn’t open up $28mil in Cap space
It simply gives them the option to be able to add $8mil in Cap bc with them on LTIR their Cap is down to around $73mil
VGK is already using some of the $14.5mil in relief from taking them off the active roster & putting them on LTIR
<strong>If we were to send them Bishop, it doesn’t give them an additional $5mil in Cap space</strong>
Don’t believe me….
Make a VGK acgm for this year & do NOTHING to it
You’ll see they have just under $9mil in available Cap Space
Now trade Bishop to them for nothing
Now they have just under $4mil in Cap space
Move him to LTIR and they are right back to having the EXACT SAME Cap Space they had before they acquired him
Again, this isn’t that difficult, just a bit complicated to figure out the fine points
But the bottom line is that adding Bishop doesn’t create more Cap Space for a team
Take 5min to learn a bit more about how LTIR works bud
That’s the best explanation i can give ya</div></div>
Why are you so angry?

Sneaky deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Buffalove</b></div><div>Ppl seem to think that putting a player on LTIR gets you extra Cap Space
And it does NOT
Let’s say NYR has Zero Cap Space, and they acquire Bishop
This is a problem bc their Cap goes up almost $5mil- now putting them OVER THE CAP
In that case, they can put Bishop’s Cap Hit on LTIR, so that they’re no longer over the CaAll it does, is acts as if Bishop’s Cap Hit never existed
Once again, it absolutely DOES NOT create an additional $5mil in Cap space
So in this instance,
acquiring Bishop does not benefit the Rangers in ANY AY whatsoever
IT’S BEEN YEARS NOW
There’s no excuse not to know this rule by now
And this Website makes it EXTREMELY EASY to figure out ffs</div></div>
Take it easy man. Care to explain why Vegas has 8+ mil in cap space right now?
