Staying the course

Adding two seconds and moving up to the first round with the Leafs trade.
Murray can be sent to Rochester or bought out as you did and his cap hit will be easily absorbed over the next 2 years.
Signing Soucy (or Mayfield) would be in line with past years UFA additions.
@ 13th OA there is good chance that Reinbacher or SandinPellikka will be available and @ 28th OA Bonk or Dragicevic will still be on the table.
The seconds could be valuable trade chips @ the '24 or '25 TDL or may be used to continue building the prospect pool!
Moving Casey up to the top line would spread the wealth and give the Sabres THREE scoring lines.
This my friend is an IDEAL OF SEASON!

He is more successful as a LW play maker than playing center.
Remove the 14 game stretch from Nov 8 to Dec 7 and over the remaining 49 games he has 7 goals, 35 pts and is +3.
He is a good fore checker digging the puck away from the boards and 57% of his assists are primary.
He has done very well lately with Cozens and Hinostroza.
Once Tuch returns, one can only hope that he can stay with Dylan and Quinn.

Kevyns dream lineup for next year

Roster Surgery
Love the idea of the Kessel pick up, but since they are still in it to win it, a roster player is gonna be needee to swing that deal. Who that is?????? Who it isnt? Eichel or Reinhart.
Your Tampa deal is pretty solid. Addresses a needed to find a winger. Helps Tampa with Callahan (who might be good for the room)..... Cerelli as a young top 9. Hard to say that Tampa doesn't look at it, as a top 4 of Hedman, McD, Sergachev and Risto is awefully good. Tonne of offense there with contract certainty.
Only issue is the hole at 2nd line centre. Is Middlestadt that guy??? Should be, but is he?

Setting up for the future (MTL Trade)
Sabres fans are going to be really disappointed with the return they get for ROR , no team in there right mind would give up a top 5 pick for him......well i guess i said in there right mind and it is the Habs lol But in all honesty i can see them going a cheaper option and signing Bozak

Taking a bad contract
You think Pegula would pay $7,500,000 for a 2nd. Yes and so do I. Nicely done.

Time For Change
It would be hard to get rid of risto but with the addition of Dahlin and Hanifin, i would do that trade. You might not have given larkin enough money but there's cap space so that's not a problem. Only thing that scares me is the number of elc's and contracts under 1000. This is the solid and exciting team that Buffalo deserves.
