Dallas definitely says yes to that trade, but Suter won't. Unfortunately, the only way he is accepting a trade out of Dallas is if he goes to a contender in the US (but he would ruin that team, so no contender is gonna trade for him).

I definitely wouldn't take Suter back in a Myers deal. Or really in any deal.

I like the Martinez deal. Gives us a top 4 dman for a yr and keeps our books open for summer of 24'

A Beauvillier for Dvorak swap isn't a terrible idea. The only thing is the + would have to be from the Montreal side for me to consider it. And it'd prob have to be more than a 3rd or retention.

Garland is a dump. He would require an asset to trade, not bring one in. He is a more defensive minded Granlund.

Eat a few MM and you could get something for him.

What's the point of buying out OEL if you are just going to trade for another OEL type contract

Martinez can still play top 4 minutes, OEL is a pylon.

Garland is not a cap dump. VAN just has to many wingers they want to make room for Hoglander and improve there dcore.

He makes about the same as Granlund. For 3 (instead of 2) years. And is nearly identical in goal scoring metrics. He is better at defense. He is around 2MM overpaid on a team that needs cap space. He is a dump. Sorry.

Was talking about Ryan Suter, He may not be as expensive, but boy oh boy is he past his prime and on a bad contract

VAN already cleared up cap space they have enough room regardless. Garland can carry his own line.

Suter probably doesn't waive his NMC regardless to play in a Canadian market.

I just saw that. Well now that Van doesn't have to trade him, he isn’t as much of a classic cap dump.

But, I don't believe anyone will trade a real pick for him. Maybe a 6th? He just isn't worth the money at this point in time. Maybe if he has a really good year?
