Gibson is an average to bad goalie getting worse each year; at that aav & term he’s absolutely unmovable. No chance my boy Dubas would ever make a trade that bad.

The Killorn contract is atrocious

Although Gibson may not have ever said this but Doughty literally said a couple years ago he wasn’t having fun due to all the losing. Funny thing after he said that the team got better and he started to play better.

I get that you’re a fan, and maybe he was a great goalie back in the day but in professional sports - given a large enough sample size - the numbers don’t lie. It can be harsh and cruel even but the numbers never lie. His numbers (goals saved above expected, sv% on hd chances, etc) are downright bad and getting worse every year. No reason for a team - especially given his aav and term - to take the risk that he’ll be just fine on a better team . Never mind pay the acquisition cost that some of your fellow ducks fans are asking for. I wouldn’t take him for FC at this point, sorry to say
