Unless you are trying to free up contract spots there's no reason to send the other 2 skaters, just send the second and the Sabres will happily send you Olofsson.

Trouba is not going to waive and Isles do not need him. They will keep Wahlstrom and Casey, Wilde won’t be qualified most likely.

This is pending he waives, again hypothetical that he does

Isles are still not a fit as the top 2 RD are already filled and they cannot afford to resign Mayfield who would be cheaper.

Lets say he is willing to waive , what would you say to Trouba 2mil retained and Cuylle for Olofsson 2mil retained, Tyson Jost, Henri
Jokiharju and a 2024 2nd

I got excited when I saw Lindbom, then I realized it was Olof and not Carl.

As a Canes fan who wouldn't mind getting Laf, I don't understand why Ranger fans say my deals to get him are insane and then expect that he signs a sub 2.5 aav and not expect any other teams to offer 3.5 or something to get him. Do you guys really think that he is just worth roughly 2 mil and if so why are all offers "not even close" for a player not worth much? Just trying to understand the thought process. Thanks!

It's more of a bridge deal (1-2 years, essentially make or break years for a big contract), and no, at this time, he is not worth that, at least in my opinion.
