Trades
1.
DET
  1. Addison, Calen [RFA Rights]
  2. Foligno, Marcus
Additional Details:
Wild lacks money and showed with the Klingberg trade that they don’t have faith in Addison. Folignon had a down year and is a luxury player for them that they potentially can’t afford with Gustavsson being an rfa. Detroit lacks right side defensemen and Addison could fix that. They also want to get tougher and Foligno does that.
MIN
  1. James, Dylan [Reserve List]
  2. O'Reilly, Ryan [Reserve List]
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (STL)
  4. 2023 3rd round pick (DET)
2.
DET
  1. Connor, Kyle
Additional Details:
The only thing that makes Winnipeg trade Connor is if they embrace a rebuild due to them likely being forced to trade Dubois, Hellebuyck and Scheifele. They have some good talents already and should be able to do a fast rebuild.
WPG
  1. Kubalik, Dominik
  2. Zadina, Filip
  3. 2023 1st round pick (DET)
  4. 2023 2nd round pick (VAN)
  5. 2024 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Trading for a star like Connor is always hard to get done. This might be an overpayment but if it is it would be worth it. Wallinder or Johansson might also be required to make it go over the line.

Remove Zadina and offer them Buchelnikov and that, imo, is more fair.

All hinges on if Winnipeg is willing to completely gut the team for a rebuild.
I expect Morrissey to be the last to be shipped, followed by Connor.

Was my line of thoughts as well. If they are confident in being contenders for the last year of Connors contract and with a renewal then there’s no deal. Will be interesting to see what they could get for Scheifele and Dubois because if they get some quality nhl players back they might only need a one year retooling in similar ways to the Blues

Would probably cost Marco Kasper to pry Connor away from Winnipeg. If they're trading him it means its a full gut job. Zadina and Kubalik just isn't enough. Kubalik 27 is older than Connor while a decent player is a middle 6 at best. Zadina forsure needs a change of scenery but that can't be the centre piece coming back. He's never had more than 24 points in parts of 5 seasons in Detroit and last year was sent down to the AHL. So essentially you're left with draft picks and relying on 2 crap shoots in the first round that may be in the 20's if Detroit gets better, for a guy who is arguably a Top 10 Goal Scorer in the league it's not enough. I know im biased as a Jets fan, but there needs to be something tangible for the Jets to get excited about.

Kasper, Kubalik, 1st and Conditional 2nd would probably be the minimum for them to consider it.

I think that's a very reasonable ask. I don't think Detroit would do it. I also don't think they move Connor this year. With all the UFAs they have that they will likely move out its Jost too much turnover.

That seems like a massive overpayment for Foligno and Addison. A second and third is enough. I'm all for Foligno, not so much for Addison but I can see the desire. The price of Connor is more than we should be willing to pay, at least this season. I also don't see them moving him this Offseason. They are going to have way too much turnover as it is.

I think it will all be determined on what they get back for Helle, Schief and Dubois. If it is prospects and picks, then I think you may see Connor, Morrissey and Ehlers become available.

Yeah definitely depends.
I think, if prospects, we see Connor and Morrissey stay.
I didn't realize Morrissey was 28 jeez. Makes more sense on why he may be shipped, but then again, defensemen age better than forwards.

Like you said, depends on return though.
