Leafs are just going to buy him out. No one wants him for $5M cap hit and $7.5M in actual cash. His buyout for year one is $0. Cap goes up next season, just buy him out and call it a day. I can't imagine anyone paying anything to get him. Leafs would have to give something up.

Ridiculous to dump Brodie for a nothing pick; he had disappointing playoffs (but majority of team disappointed vs panthers) but he’s still a very effective defensive dman and is pending ufa. No chance you get Soucy for that (or mayfield possibly)

MN is literally the last team in the league with a need for Brodie AND the last team with cap space for him even if they did!

Brodie isn’t a buyout lol. If they get a chance to trade him and get someone better in FA they will. I don’t know why people think this guys a cap dump if we can get an upgrade in FA we will keep him happily

Brodie? He isn't going to get traded, he's been our best defensive defenceman since he arrived. Was dealing with a nagging injury. He'll be fine this season.

Lots of rival fans love to hate on the Leafs, weird. Can only think it’s jealousy because we’re the richest & most popular team, most media, centre of nhl hockey ops, etc. unfortunately, some Leaf fans buy into it - somehow we finish top 5 year after year but we have terrible players 🤷🏻.
