Definitely not signing Bear for that when Juulsen and Burroughs are knocking on the door for that 3RHD spot.

If you have an issue with the contract, fair enough 3 mil may be a tad too much smth like 2.5 could be more suitable. I really don't think Juulsen or Burroughs are the answer at 3RHD though, Juulsen has never been much more outside of an AHL piece and Burroughs though a nice depth body to have doesn't seem like a permanent suitor for that role. Bear flourished in Vancouver's system with Tocchet and I think can be a great piece for their future.

I just don’t see a world where Bear earns a $2.7mil QO and you can’t be waiting on a guy like that. Really sucks for Bear and his camp but see what happens with his recovery, what’s the worst that happens? You sign him next year, I just think there are so many cheaper, better options than Bear. He’s easily replaceable especially with Allvin wanting Filip Johansson to play in the big league.

This team is definitely an improvement on last season's team.
