So long as Hanifin is extending, that is plenty fair.

I don't think Pittsburgh trades one of, if not the only good prospect they have and they want to keep their 1st rounders to acquire at least a few good prospects but, the trade is pretty close to fair

Kinda crazy for the rebuilding Preds giving up a first for one year of Lindholm. Same with the Pens.....two first rounders for one year of Hanifan? Seattle is flush with Dmen

I did add in recent edit that both Lindholm and Hanifin extend. I don't know if you are "Flush" but understand Tanev might be better suited elsewhere...ideas?

Even crazier is trying to make a trade based on extension. Very, very rarely will a team allow another team to negotiate with their player....one year away from his contract expiring.
Flames signed UFAs Markstrom, Kadri, Tanev, Coleman as UFAs without giving up anything to get them, but lately it has been an obsession on CF, thinking UFAs have great trade value, and players are going to be allowed to negotiate with other teams

Ok Pal, why so serious? AND, Multiple sources, and some respectable ones too, and in comparing recent trades for Dmen, believe these are potential hauls for Lindholmn and Hanafin, or similar; and the extension very much plays. Of course no one is going to make a trade like these without serious assumption or extension ensurance. Calgary just did it with Tkachuk by sign extension and trade.

So if you are in belief that no one is going to trade these amounts for a Lindholmn or Hanafin, what exactly do you think is going to happen, Calgary just sits back and wants to lose Hanafin for nothing when he has just recently stated he doesn't want to extend past this year? Sound familiar? Ummmm Florida and a guy call Matthew? Anyway, hope your having fun on here and not stressing out too much smile

I also think the title of this post says it all, thought it was obvious. I like to have fun making these trade ideas, and they are just that ideas, they are not real. Sometimes I am serious, sometimes messing around...it's all in good fun. I like to just see what others are thinking and learn more about other teams here, but that's just me. Cheers

Pens decline. I like Hanifin, but the Pens aren’t dropping their top two trade chips, they’re only two valuable trade chips, on a LHD.

Lose for nothing? Calgary has signed lots of UFAs....and they didn't pay anything to get them, but somehow the Flames are entitled to payment.

Now If the Flames are in a trade mode come next TDL, they can get good returns on their upcoming UFAs, but not at the silliness of extensions included.

I think we need a placeholder in Jersey while Nemec takes a 1/2 season to ripen, CT may be perfect if he waives NMC. How much?
