Minnesota just doesn't have the cap room, unless the Jets retain. And why would they do that when they could trade Scheifele without retaining to a team that isn't their biggest rival?

Minnesota has a little over $9 million dollars so if they want to make a trade for Scheifele they can. And I also read it on the SKOR website.

Way too much for a rental. Lambos is MN's best defense prospect. A first. A second. A 3rd C.

I read the in SKOR and it’s not too much for the Wild to have Scheifele.

Not saying they couldn't, but it's highly unlikely. I kept thinking for a while too that this summer should be the one where they take that kind of a swing, but next summer is more likely since there will be more expiring contracts and the cap will go up more than this time around. SKOR is click-baity.

Faber, then Lambos, IMO. But yes, too much to give up here.

This is close to value... Winnipeg should probably retain salary on Scheifele to make him that much more valuable. Not like they need that capspace that much anyway.
