Goodrow definetely has negative value

wojohawk Not so sure about that with the cap going up substantially in the next few years. Not like Chicago is looking to compete for cups next few years as they are rebuilding. Goodrow provides unique value to them as it adds a tougher player, veteran winner who's a good mentor to young guys regarding playing the right way and will drop the gloves with pretty much anyone (not saying he'd win the fight) if anyone takes runs at bedard. I think chicago would value that and wouldn't have to really give up much to get him

Except that the Hawks are looking to weaponize their current cap space to acquire additional assets to move their rebuild forward. A move like this is pretty much the opposite of their stated plan. Hawks won't be offloading picks for overpaid veteran players - regardless of their "unique value".

Goodrow isn't right for this time period for the hawks.
Goodrow isnt quite negative value, but moving him could be a challenge considering how tight cap space is for alot of the teams who might want him.
