Description

Intentionally not explaining the DeBrincat trade because it's silly (but is it?), however I think the Gryz to CAR trade makes sense. He's more affordable than Ghost is going to be and slots in well with Pesce or with a young defender as a 3rd pairing D. In return Boston gets a little cap relief and a young C who wants more playing time.

IMPORTANT: carrying 3 extras here, so send one of then down and unsign OEL (who I know is controversial at 2LD) and you have about 2.75m in cap. Who fits from FA? I like Soucy but he's probably 4m with term. Just find depth and wait and see if Lohrei is ready? Or find a vet?

Doubtful you get OEL for $775k when Suter signed two years ago for over $3 million per.

Just tied 11.25 up in Pasta! But youre right. Not sure what they do after this season other than rebuild but they have probably one of the best top 6 in the league in this scenario. Might be what it takes for a cup.

Yeah, it´s interesting to elaborate on what a B´s team with this C-core could do, along with such a set of wingers - come play off time 'younger / healthy centers' may be the key! All this hinges on the assumption that they play Bergy less minutes/game (in a secondary role).

There's a gigantic difference in value between Pinto and a 2nd. Pinto is probably more valuable to Ottawa than DeBrincat... He was not available for either ADB or Chychrun so it becomes an automatic decline
