Disagree. I think they like both players who provide cheap depth at worst, and Timmins potentially more as the season goes on. Granlund is helpful but not enough to move the needle.

I feel the talent in TOR would better benefit Granlund than PIT. He was stuck with Heinen Carter OConnor etc. In TOR, Jarnkrok alone is better than those three combined. Plus a $3M middle six Center is pretty good

We take out the 4th and add Nylander— fair?

I think Seattle passes at the end of the day. Poulin isn't worth the first and the second, and I don't think he offers more than Geekie. Moving up 6 spots in the draft may be on the table but I think Seattle holds pat on the pick at 20 for now as there isn't that big of a drop in talent there. Only reason I could see them moving up is if there is a d-man they prefer.

I think you need the center depth for 2 years at just 3 million. I think Toronto would be happy to fetch a 4th for Timmins

I broke it down as such

Pick #14 for Pick #20 and TOR 2nd
Poulin for Geekie

Since Poulin can play in AHL next year and develop chemistry with Wright— I think they would be great center winger duo

Yeah that works for me. I can drive Granlund and Nylander to TOR next week— drop them off at Ford Performance?

I agree with what KrakBirds23 said, that Seattle would only likely do this to get a guy they really like if still available at 14, probably a d-man.

But Francis loves him some Geekie, too! I think it's more likely you remove the players from this deal and up the 2nd Rounder going to PIT as either WPG's (50oa) or Seattle's own (52oa), maybe SEA throws on a little something more if they really like who's available!

Dubas has a history of trading down, but not sure he'd do it at this draft, his first with the new club!
