Description

Both teams missed the playoffs. Kuznetsov and Johansen could use a change of scenery. Trotz shakes the team up with Brunette as the new coach and adds the 8th overall pick and a 2nd and 3rd for letting go of Forsberg and Saros.

I would not make that trade for Saros or Forsberg alone, let alone together.

Why would the Caps pass? They are desperate to get back to the Playoffs and their AHL club just won the Calder Cup while not even playing Miroshnichenko, Suzdalev or Trineyev. Not sure the 8th overall helps them during the Ovechkin Era.

You know the Caps 1st is the 8th OA, right? I get not wanting to do the trade as proposed, but you really wouldn't trade Saros alone for that?
