Lafferty is worth a fifth, Timmins is worth a fourth (and we accepted that for him in a contemporaneous ACGM), we don't need picks in numbers with 5 selections in the top 65 this year and 6 picks in the top 80 next year, so we'll keep the quality pick over the quantity.

A Miller move would need to do1 of 2 things.

1) Give the Canucks more futures. This doesn't do that, in fact it does the exact opposite (trading down)

2) Make the current Canucks better. This fails at that as well. Not because Miller is better then Nylander, but we need centres way more then wingers. (If you don't believe me try and name VANs 2C if they made this trade)

Canucks trading down makes their prospect pool even worse. Trading Miller means that Nils Aman is our 2nd line center. That’s not good
