I really don't think the Flames can move Hanifin and Lindholm in a move focused on still being in contention.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Lindholms production fell off a cliff when Gaudreau left. Not a player I'd want to give that kind of contract to, frankly.

I like the Flames trade... but Hanifin has to sign for less than Rielly by 1.5 or more (roughly 5-6 mill per). Also, Matthews needs to be extended 1st

Can't see the Leafs interested in extending the "elderly" Lindholm. Hanifan probably wants to be a UFA at your suggested contract . But again it's foolish to base a trade on extensions.
Rather buyout Murray, than taking on the non value Lebanc. Canucks don't do that trade.

I thought Backlund had more term TBH, like it was a 5x5.3 which would be a higher risk, lower reward than the Lindholm contract
