Description

I did some research on Colby Barlow & he's a guy I'd absolutely love for the Leafs to trade up for in the draft! He's exactly the type of guy the team needs, he'd normally go around 5th or 6th overall in most drafts but because of how stacked this draft is it's likely he will drop to 11th and possibly even a few picks lower.

I think the Canucks would be willing to move down & trade their 1st in this fashion as trading Boeser for Marner 1 for 1 in terms of NHL players on their roster fulfils the Canucks plan of being a playoff team ASAP

I didn't feel like taking the time to go through & make the rest of the off-season Armchair GM as those things are so time consuming & hard to predict.

What are all your thoughts on the Armchair GM??

Please remember that this Armchair GM is based on like.... It's Draft Day, Barlow is still available at that 11th overall pick & that's when the Leafs pull the trigger & this trades announced, finalized takes place etc

Seems like a pretty bad deal for TOR. I think VAN would accept in a heartbeat.

As a Nucks fan, under absolutely NO circumstances should we be trading our 11th overall pick... except these circumstances. This trade we accept immediately, before whatever spell Colby Barlow's agent has you under wears off.

As always, Vancouver has no interest is Marner. We can’t afford him and he plays the one position we don’t need. However, I’d take this deal just because we can turn around and flip Marner for a lot more than this.
