I wonder if that is one of the more expensive goalie tandems in nhl history!!! (?)

Adding Lindholm and Hanifin (with extensions) would certainly be intriguing. Great players that I both really like . . . but that cost is just WAY too much and I can't see Francis doing it. Forget the fact that Calgary would be getting a stud blue-liner in Dunn---lets just say that it's a wash with Hanifin as a return, though that might be generous---and then there's Gourde who makes any team better, as well as all that potential in Wright out the door . . . add to that you basically want to wipe out all four of Seattle's top-end draft picks this year, one of the deepest drafts in a long time. I think Kraken ownership would regret Francis' extension after just such a trade!

I think Francis does this because they need a better 1C and saw what Eichel did to get Vegas over the hump
Plus Gourde and Wennberg are UFA’s after this year meaning they are most likely not resigning one anyways so might as well use their value to get better 1C

I like Lindholm, alot, but I also think he may be slightly (just slightly) mis-cast as a first-line center in Calgary. He had a great offensive year centering two elite wingers with career seasons in 21/22, which certainly raised his value. I believe Calgary showed that by signing Kadri, also, expecting him to be the 1C, but hey, I might be wrong.

Anyway, pretty sure Seattle is very optimistic that 1C belongs to Beniers, and that Wright becomes the 2C in the very near future. But regardless, it is again, ultimately, too prohibitive a cost in your proposed trade to essentially swap quality d-men and ship out Seattle's top prospect and top 4 picks, along with one of Seattle's MVP's for Lindholm and Kylington, IMO.

I think your definition of "stud" is a lot different than most.

Assume that's directed at me? . . . you didn't quote. (?)

You're probably right. Homer thing to say! Whether Dunn is a "stud" or not, he had a great season, and while acquiring Hanifin would be awesome, I think if Seattle essentially traded Dunn to get him would be a slight downgrade and a mistake.

Lindholm’s not miscast, he's just not an offensive juggernaut. His defensive play is really strong, very good at faceoffs and as you pointed out he plays well with high end talent. He's definitely one of the top 20 centers in the league, he's just not next level like the top 10.

Interesting idea. I'd want the Flames to keep Kylington though, would you do Zadorov instead?
