I don't think these are unfair trade values. Just not sure these teams won't want to exploit Boston for all they can.

Yeah I still feel like the value on the Hall trade could be a bit too high but it wouldn't surprise me if a team did give up a 2nd for him

If Boston had cap space, I think all these are very reasonable. Just based on the rumored offers to Vancouver for Garland and Boeser before the OEL buyout, I can't see teams giving anything close to fair value.

I think the bigger problem is the teams that would be on Hall's trade don't have the cap to take on his 6m X 2. Hall may not be even worth his contract.

Just to add....a big overpay for Lindholm and more fantasy about an exte4nsioin.

After seeing other mock trade packages I don't think its really an overpay considering our assets are slightly less valuable than what other teams would be giving up and as far as an extension I think Lindholm signs for somewhere in the 8-9.5m region

Right. Other teams know they can just hold Sweeney's cap compliance hostage until he concedes to whatever they want. I'd expect the EASIEST thing is keep Hall, allow Bertuzzi to leave, and trade Frederic off for a minor future.

So many Bruins fans (and they aren't the only ones) think they have the absolute right to sign their UFAs. You're right, Hall stays and Bertuzzi has to sign elsewhere.

I think the Bruins cap crunch is overstated they can make moves to clear cap without having to attach picks (Reilly buyout and trades for Ullmark and Grz) the only guys we might have to attach picks to move are Hall and Forbort who would still bring value to the right teams

Lindholm is nice but he will be almost 30 age years of age of age when his next contract starts. Can't see any team wanting to sign him to a eight year contract. But really he's a 2nd line centre, don't see a team paying about 9m for him.

Rumors are that Sweeney has been trying to move heaven and earth to extend Bert but I really think we'll just be priced out and giving him a long term deal is still a bit of a risk imo

To each their own I guess it really comes down to your opinion on Lindholm but his two-way game is elite and we've seen his scoring potential when playing with elite wingers on his line (Gaudreau and Tkachuk) I think if he played on a line with Pasta he would at least be a 70 point guy

His first concern should be moving cap....which I don't know if possible. Bertuzzi,,,,think this oft injured 53 point player isn't going to be good value who ever signs him. Plus the Bruins still have little NHL centres.
IMO, Bruins just have to step back this season, and retool their cap in 24/25. Heck just make the playoffs in spring of 2024, and see what happens.....like Florida.

Yeah I don't think extending Bertuzzi should be a priority and Summer '24 will be the time to make a major retool imo I just figured since Lindholm will likely be made available its worth a shot to try and get him now since finding top six centers in Free Agency is usually a challenge

I actually think most of these trades make a lot of sense, I think Hall probably wouldn't net a 2nd rounder per se but maybe a third or fourth. Hall probably isn't quite worth his contract but I do see a lot of people undervaluing him on here, probably would still be a 60 point guy if he was played a full season in a top 6 role
