I think that's too much money for Rodrigues and also I hope the Canucks look short term with a Pius Suter or trade for a Michael McLeod so they leave room for Raty in a year or two to take over that role.

Rest of the signings seem fine although Allvin is on record saying it's unlikely they'll spend money on a backup. However he did say they probably wouldn't use a buyout so who knows.

I really like Rodrigues. Perfect two-way 3rd line center in my eyes. Suter would be 2nd option tho

Why waste money on Brossoit and Clifton when we have Silovs and Bear or Dermott? Then we won't have to ship out Beauvillier for nothing and can at least wait until deadline to retain and get a much better return

Clifton is just better then Dermott and Bear is gonna be injured for quite a while. Trading Beauvillier frees up the room for Rodrigues so look at is a 1 for 1. Silovs can be backup I just had extra money to spend

The way I like to think about it is, what if Beau continues his success in Vancouver and has a great season? In that case, there would be a ton of demand for him at a 50% retained $2m cap hit at the deadline and we could potentially get a 1st or a good prospect. Not a fan of Rodrigues so that's my ideal situation

Yea I'd be fine with that just need to move out a winger for a center this offseason

I might be ok with a 3rd for Beauvillier.
