No reason for him to sign that if he's not getting 8-years. Would be doing the team a huge favor.
He could easily sign a ~$70M contract in free agency.

Imo it's team friendly if the AAV is lower, not if they try to sign him just for his best years and avoid the contract from aging badly. I think he would feel disrespected especially since that contract kicks in when he's 28. 9.5mx6 is a 57M, so probably still 13M less than he can make. If he's doing a team friendly deal at that total, it should be more like 7.125Mx8 (57M) or 8.15Mx7.
