OTT declines, they have the same interest in Tuevo as they do in bringing back Zeitsev

No they wouldn't, Both Dallas and Detroit would beat that by a country mile.

Then why have seen a lot of DeBrincat to Hurricanes trades that are basically the same trade?
Dallas and Detroit do not make sense as landing spots for DeBrincat given either Cap Space (Dallas) or Where they are in their rebuild (Detroit)... In fact non of the spots that DeBrincat has linked to make sense as trade partners for Ottowa. The Hurricanes make a lot of sense in terms of where they are as roster, their cap space, and the pool of picks and prospects that can dip into

Who cares about Carolina, By all accounts, He either wants hometown Detroit or teams that have no State taxes. Sorry but Carolina is neither.

Ottowa is in the driver's seat when it comes to a deal and the Hurricanes are one of the few teams who have enough assets, the need for a DeBrincat-type player, and cap space to deal for him. I'm sorry but none of those teams on the list he gave fit all of those boxes. He's an RFA and the Hurricanes have more than enough cap space to make him a deal... can you say that for any of the teams on his list besides Detroit

laugh First off Pierre Dorion isn't in the drivers seat, Cat gave a 5 team list of teams he'd accept a trade to and sign long term. Sorry Carolina isn't on that list. Sure Dorion can trade Cat to any team he so chooses but he loses leverage if he's a rental only compared to a sign and trade that betters his return.

Cats camp expanded the list beyond the initial 5 team list they submitted once teams started calling.

Yeah well that's not what Friedman and Lebrun are saying, And i trust them more than you. Both basically said it's down to Dallas and Detroit for Debrincat. Both made the most aggressive offers yet.

I've seen multiple reports saying basically that list has been expanded once teams start calling... And if that's true we don't know who's on the list now. Dallas doesn't have the cap space to sign DeBrincat unless they move some roster pieces out... DeBrincat isn't getting less than an 8x8 and Dallas has about $7m in cap space with 17 guys signed

They both literally reported in the last 48 hours that list is expanded. Quit spewing nonsense. So typical of you, never seen somebody get things wrong more consistently than you. Truly tough to do.

I would do it if Teuvo signs a reasonable 4-5 years extension (like 5.5 AAV)

Tkachuk - Giroux - Stutzle
Teräväinen - Norris - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Joseph
Drury - Kastelic - Gauthier

Finally a solid 2-way forward group. Norris back + the additions of Teräväinen, Greig and Drury makes it a lot better. Now just need a brand new coaching staff
