Description

This is what I want but obviously none of these trades are really gonna happen. There's a log jam on defense but it likely wont change too much until the TDL next year when guys like Edmunson and Savard may be moved. The habs also draft Smith and Gulyayev in the 1st round

Since WPG basically has to trade Dubois they need to fill the role left behind if they wanna compete for 1 last year before everyone leaves. They’re not paying much for Dvorak, they move down a couple spots and have to give up a 3rd next year. Wideman is just cheap depth that can slot in when needed

Additional Details:

Boqvist hasn’t met expectations and has seemingly lost his spot on Columbus. He’s the kinda guy the habs need, especially on the power play. He shouldn’t cost much due to his lacklustre performance

Additional Details:

Elvis clearly hasn’t been the goalie they’re paying for. I doubt they can trade his contract but if he can improve his numbers to at least average a tandem with Allen may be enough for them to get in the playoffs, and they’re not giving up much for him

Additional Details:

Habs take on a bad contract and get a pick. Doesn’t necessarily have to be the caps but this is more of an example

This depends on what direction the caps go in. Since they have Ovi they’ll probably contend. Which means they have to get rid of Mantha to do that. You could give up nothing or just a C prospect

Mantha's value has definitely gone down but, he's not Monahan inured 90% of the time, I think the Habs make that deal without getting the extra 1st and are happy to get a Qc born player who could hop on the first line to start the season.

You can't get rid of almost 6mil in cap for nothing. The caps window is closing and if they wanna make a splash in FA they need to move on. If not a 1st then a 2nd +. And this was more of an example given you can never really predict a cap dump. And Mantha would def not fit on line 1. He'd probably be worse the Andy in that role. Although I can see where you're coming from
