Description
LAK trade maybe a little stretch... they paid a 2nd and 3rd for Arvidsson originally, he did have a good year but they need the cap so IMO a 2nd and a prospect back should be enough and frees up $4.2M

Chicago trade is pretty self explanatory, of course that only happens if someone falls to 14 chicago really wants. Swap tampa's pick, take on Granlund but get RFA rights to DOC who is a solid bottom six player imo.

Boston also self explanatory. They need space, this gives them nearly $9M and POJ.

Hawks would have to LOVE the player at #14 to make that deal. Probably doesn't happen.

definitely depends who is there at 14, but I don't think chicago is going to go crazy in FA this summer or possibly even next so Granlund cap is helpful to them with as much youth talent as they have.

I'd add another prospect or something but figured DOC RFA is an added touch. He's a good youth player, just odd man out on this roster.

Hawks will target one or two UFA's on July 1, depending on whether they take on any bad contracts or not. But they won't want take on a contract just to get to the cap floor. They'll need to be fairly compensated.

DOC isn't anything special. He's probably an upgrade over Entwistle or Blackwell on Hawks 4th line, but not much more than that. I'd peg his value at a late round pick at best. Doesn't move the needle in terms of taking on Granny though.

Bruins take POJ and a 4th for Gryz any day of the week but Hall is gonna cost more than just a 3rd. It’s not like Boston needs to trade Hall to get that money off the books, they’re are plenty of other directions they could go so they would only move him if they got an enticing offer.

If the B's want to sign Bertuzzi, Swayman and Orlov (as it seems rumored they'd like all three) they'll definitely have to move Hall.

I also think you're highly overvaluing his price tag. B's traded an AHL player and a second rd pick to Buffalo for Hall retained at 50% and Lazar. He's two years older now and was hurt last year. He's worth a 2nd at most.

The situation when Hall was traded out of Buffalo was completely different. He was a UFA at the end of the season and had openly said he wanted out and would only go to Boston so Buffalo had no leverage at all. And the Bruins are not planning on resigning Orlov, I don’t know where you heard that. I think a fair return for Hall would be POJ and a 2nd.

Perfect, Poj a 2nd and a 4th for Grz and Hall lol.

and regardless of his situation in Buffalo he's 31 now and was injured last year. Everyone knows boston needs cap space, leverage will be mostly on the other foot this time depending what else happens for boston.

i've had boston friends claim they want to sign orlov.
