There is literally no algorithm, and it’s based on reporters and insiders doing actual reporting.

Literally the first roster on your profile doesnt line up with with contract projections per Evolving Hockey.

And again, I don't care about what one specific site may say, as what I have used pretty much lines up with the rosters i create. Again with reporters(or in this case, one reporters opinion), and others that had nothing credible from inside Tampa, but fueled rumors and speculation by saying, "they think Tampa may have offered Killorn a long-term, low aav contract", and Colton is looking for a considerable or significant raise, which then immediately got plastered everywhere as, omg, Colton is pricing himself out of Tampa...There is nothing substantiated.

Just tell me you didnt look at the Lightning cap friendly page to see their cap situation instead of this long winded word salad.

No, I have, and nothing has changed since your last condescending post. Oh and by the way, a "word salad" would indicate writing that makes no sense grammatically speaking or in its subject matter. I thought I'd provide that for your edification. Again though, thanks for another very helpful post that added so much worthwhile info.

Here is how one specific site’s projections performed. Idr last time they did this chart, but I’m going to asssume it’s better than your own value assessments that you refuse to disclose

Colton is coming to NJ for peanuts and you'll just have to deal with it. Tampa could use that pick since they traded the next decade worth of picks for a 4th line player.

Colton over the last 2 seasons 1.14 goals per 60
Playing with 3/4th liners compared to say
Tavares. 1.12
Kubalik .9
Marchand 1.16
Panerin 1.00
He may be the most underrated player on CF.
Not A f***ING chance in He** that steaming 💩offer gets accepted or that even bigger 💩 stupidity you were spewing happens either. Bahl and Sherengovich or NJ can go F themselves . Julien Brisebois at his end of season sit down interview on Lightning TV . Every decision I make with this core will be with winning now in mind this crap offer doesn't come close to doing that . Who do they believe knows what Tampa Bay will be accept in trades more some analytics reporter or the GM.... HMM THAT'S A REALLY HARD ONE

Since you've quoted an entirely different poster to try and support whatever insubstantial point you're trying to make, I won't be responding further to it.

Already has that jet ski money lying around, and is gonna get a raise. I should’ve been a professional hockey player, which is a totally manageable expectation for career goals

Colton STARTS WITH BAHL OR NJ CAN POUND SAND

What does Julien Brisebois have to do to prove to people he doesn't value picks? This is an utterly useless return for TB. What rational person believes this would be accepted by TB?

Quoting: JTBF81
It's a very easy decline from Tampa. A 2nd round pick both does nothing for Tampa now, and it isn't enough anyway. It's great that a writer for the Athletic believes he may be worth something, and when they are an actual GM dealing with Tampa, Tampa fans might care. Tampa is very likely not trading Colton anyway, but if they were to, it would be for the deal they want, not accepting a mediocre return. If N.J. wants him, Tampa would consider it for Bahl+either Boqvist or McLeod, in exchange for Colton+Fleury+mid round pick/B prospect. If Bahl isn't available, Tampa moves on to.another team.

Quoting: Hawksguy81
Too be fair, almost every one of those 11 trades were deals involving nothing but pick swaps, or players Tampa traded away who were either AHL'ers or guys they weren't going to resign anyway. None of these scenarios apply to Colton.

ah, well. alas. turns out a 2nd wasnt a trash offer after all.

I for one am shocked. Guess JBB isn't as good of a GM as Bolts fans think he is. #37 is a nice pick, but not enough in my opinion. L for Tampa Bay.

Then she has completely not payed any attention to TB over the last 4 years because anyone who believes that is a complete moron.

Tampa made a bad trade, the value for Colton should've been higher based on many recent trades. As far as it being strange, nah, strange might be watching a team like the Devils win a Cup after 20 years of mostly being irrelevant, but losing a trade, far from it. It's always funny watching fans of teams that have been irrelevant for a decade come out of the woodwork when they finally have even a very small amount of success after so many years of futility.

Or they’d understood how trade comps work and actually oversold
