Canucks decline. The point of moving Garland is to clear cap and ease the logjam the Canucks have at wing. Taking back Mantha doesn’t fix either of those problems, it actually makes them worse.

Canucks don't need to swap wingers. They need an RHC3 and more and steadier defense.

Fair enough re: Mantha for Garland. I thought Mantha having on year left compared the 3 for Garland along with a higher ceiling might make him more palatable, but the roster still works cap-wise if that trade doesn't happen.
