I was using trade rumour pages talking about Krug invoking his NTC so my thought process was bypass him to get another guy but I'm not sure how they're going to fix that snag at all and someone else's saying Parayko isn't available... if only I could edit the lineup

Either the Blues strong arm Krug into accepting a trade, a 3rd party that he chooses wants him, or STL for some reason wants Hayes without the defenseman swap, or the deal is dead.

The difference between Parayko and Krug to the Blues in importance, let alone value is tremendous. Moving Parayko in general signals absolutely 0 reason to even consider taking on Sanheim. Leddy also doesn’t clear the adequate cap nor does moving pretty much anyone but Krug in a deal for both players adress any need that benefits the Blues enough to A warrant taking on Hayes (depending on Retention) and also taking on Sanheim. Sanheim like Parayko has such a long contract it’s hard to get enough value out of a deal to reason a team selling the player if they plan to be competitive in the near future.
