I doubt Buffalo would trade Thompson for Marner straight up...let alone throw in an additional three first round draft choices. Perhaps if Toronto tosses in a first rounder it might work....

Why the hell did you post this 11 times? Also Buffalo declines, they won't flip Tage with three 1st rounders for Marner. Thompson had five less points, more goals, and is locked up long term for three million less than Marner is for two years. This is silly.

Tage Thompson scored five less points than Marner, he scored more goals, and is locked up long term for three million less while Marner is expected for a pay raise in two years. A single 1st will not convince Buffalo, nor will anything.

I could see Matthews for Thompson ++ but not Marner

Also trading a 1C for a top winger is usually already a loss in a trade like this not too mention Buffalo will now need to find a new 1C to replace Thompson so not likely to happen in my opinion
