Avs fan here; I think you're overpaying Newhook a bit. I think you can get him around $2.5 million on a 2-year deal.

This seems fair, caps maybe push for 25' 2nd and no 5th coming back but accept either way

a second round is not very valuable to jump in top 5

Anderson for Kakko.

It’s like when old Biff meets young Biff from Back to the Future.

Hey Avs fan!

I'm a Habs fan, and I'm not too thrilled about letting a 31st and 37th pick go for a 22 year old 30 pts dude...
What's your take on that?
Did Monteral make a mistake on that trade in your opinion?

Cheers!

I think presently Montreal overpaid, however, check back in a few years because I think this fresh start is exactly what Newhook needs. Unfortunately, his development track is just not in line with Colorado's present cup window. I think Montreal is looking at a really solid cup window opening up in 2-3 years, and that's perfect for Newhook's timeline. As long as Martin St. Louis can get him to be a little more confident in his game, and ideally he gets to play with consistent linemates, he could be a really good fit there.
