Go out and get Sharangovich, the throw in can be just about anyone that's not an important prospect. Maybe you don't even need it.

Otherwise, trade every 2023 pick you have for the best 2024 and 2025 picks you can get for them, and use those picks as ammo at the deadline. They probably have to with this roster, to fill at least one position. Otherwise they're fine through the regular season.

They're taking a chance with Sharangovich, Suter, and Heinen, but I like Suter as a Compher replacement, and one of Sharangovich or Heinen should be able to fill whatever top-six winger role the Avalanche need.

Upgrade Malgin with the remaining money. I don't know with who, but there's easily someone that can play fourth line wing for $1 million and be effective (I'm just not going to go looking through the list.)

Kill it at the deadline, win cup.

Who would be "future considerations" from Buffalo?

Absolutely no one. Just shoot MacDermid to any team for free, or to the moon.

How about Pittsburgh? The Penguins would like to deal away Carter if he wants to play for Colorado.

I'd be more interested in having that $900k-ish freed up.

    Sure send him to Buffalo.
He would be sent to AHL and may be claimed, but if not he would be a nice 8th or 9th NHL defenseman.

Never read the comments they say. Everyone is mean they say.

Other than Malgin (spend that $ on a mean 4th liner - Hathaway or Austin-Reese or someone similar who can really PK and hit) this is my favorite Avs post in a while. I am all in on Suter as 3C, and all the pick refreshes is total gonzo chaos that won't happen, but I love it!
