Dubois showed in the playoffs with CBJ under Torts against Tampa, that when he plays with an elevated level of intensity and when he plays defense, he can be the most dominant player on the ice and dictating the game.
However, PLD doesn’t seem to be interested in being that player, at least not on a consistent basis. The Wings were never interested in the player nor were they interested in giving up the assets to acquire him.

Marco Kasper will be better than PLD.

It's impossible to know if Detroit was interested in Dubois, but I'd bet my house that Dubois was never interested in Detroit.

It is possible to figure out. Since everyone can now what LA gave up for him… come up with a respectable trade offer that Winnipeg would accept… and then ask yourself, would Yzerman make this trade for the Wings. The answer is gonna be no 10/10
