Peace out is probably what Pat Verbeek says as he hangs up after that proposal to eat Goodrow’s contract

No thanks. Keep Jones and cut that retention in half, and then maybe we'll talk.

Maybe offer to retain 50% on Goodrow, I hear that's in vogue for cap dumps right now.

I would make this deal in a heart beat. A 24 1st and a decent prospect for 3.25 mil in cap space we otherwise wouldnt have...sign me up. Nobody is taking on Krug without retention, we could probably pay someone else to retain and flip him but that would be cost us assets. Ny declines this though

1 - Somebody just agreed to take Krug without retention. Blues fans need to stop this it's impossible stuff. It's not. It's difficult. Not the same thing. If it was easy, it wouldn't be worth it. Take a deep breath.

2 - I like 1sts, too. I do not like overpaying for them. And that prospect is the exact type of player we are trying to move out. I'm not interested in spending trade value on things just because they have value out of context. Ya know what's worse than paying Krug 6.5M to play for the Blues? Paying half that for him to play elsewhere.

And he's not waiving for NYC anyway, so this is all moot. Army just pulled a ridiculous fleece, and we probably lucked out that Krug did not waive. Be patient. It's gonna be okay.

Worth and not worse. Just my opinion. We'll see what happens though, just hope Doug pulls one more rabbit out of the hat today. All this agm stuff is pointless anyways lol we shall see and react

Yes, I know many Blues fans panic and expect the worst. We've been conditioned this way. Enhance your calm, we'll be fine. And even if nobody else moves, they can't play as bad as they did last season. Like, almost all of them. And I'm not just talking about the defense. The Leddy trade/re-signing + kicking Perron to the curb threw us out of sorts. Judging by Army's first maneuver this summer, even if it didn't totally come to fruition, tells me that he understands that the LDs don't fit. That's clearly not something he understood last summer, so we're in the right direction.
