Description

Flip one of our late 1st round picks to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Ross Colton and taking on Seabrook's last year of LTIR contract (allowing TB to accrue cap space finally).

Trade Sam Girard to the Panthers in exchange for Anthony Duclair (rumored to be on the block) and Luostarinen. Girard gives the Cats a quality left shot D-man to join their top 4.

Take on Viktor Olofsson from the Sabres who are looking to dump him cheaply; also considered Kailer Yamamoto from Edmonton who is basically a "free" cap dump.

That 3rd pair is scary - JJ and a guy that's never played an NHL game. Olofsson on the 3rd line is a defensive nightmare - he needs to play very sheltered minutes. I do like Colton and Luostarinen although I can't imagine FLA would be looking to move him.

Not that desperate, need to be better than a 23yr old prospect, especially with half retained. Guy could score 40 goals there. Pick would need to be better to.

Panthers aren’t trading Loustarinen. Girard is only okay and we need Loustarinen more than a more offensive dman
