At this point IDK why they're resigning Kurashev. He's never really shown anything, just a warm body. Maybe they see something in him I'm missing.

He’s shown flashes but is basically Nylander without the baggage of a trade. I think there’s something there but I’m not counting him into the core long term.

I agree with most everything here, including the comments, except... My only question is whether we need Domi and/or Compher, now. They take meaningful roster spots away from Kurashev and - especially here - Katchouk. Katchouk seemed to really come to the fore in the latter part of last season, and I really want to see what he can do this year. I'd be concerned that too many vets will block his opportunities for growth (if he has any). I also want to answer the question as to whether Kurashev can, with increased opportunity, grow into a more meaningful role.

That trade of #51 seems like an unforced error; I find it inexplicable. Why? Taking a bird in hand now, and making it worse next year?

Don't understand that Perry move, either. Yeah, he only cost a '24 7th pick next year... I think we have enough vet leadership, already, though. And he's not just a waste of a draft pick, IMO... What's he gonna teach Bedard? How to spear someone in the gonads? Whine over calls he doesn't like? How to dive? Yech.
