That garbage doesn't get Alex Debrincat, Plus he's not wasting his time on the 2nd oldest team in the NHL.

Fehérváry is expected to sign for $2.4M, give or take. The only reason why the Kings would want to move Arvidsson is for cap relief to sign a goaltender. This trade doesn't provide much cap relief. With their cap situation, they can't afford a $2.4M defenseman on the 3rd pair.

Drop Turcotte and Fehérváry from the trade and the Kings would probably do it.

You really just expect Calgary to bend over and take it without lube huh?

No. Everyone, including Insiders, expects that Calgary won’t budge. Too bad for the Flames, Lindholm and Hanifin are now on record saying they want out and won’t re-sign. This won’t be the trade but whatever the trade is, one thing we know, Calgary will lose the trade.

Hanifin has said that he won't sign, Lindholm has not given an answer. Yes they will lose the trade... if it is as bad as this one.

With the situation what it is now the Flames would be lucky to be offered the trade proposed here. You should be prepared for much worse.

Why hasn’t he been traded if there’s teams it there offering more? Ottawa is not in the drivers seat here, and there isn’t also a lot of teams able to take on his upcoming contract. Especially teams he’s willing to sign with.

Maybe not, but he has incentives to play harder this season, namely a contract extension. If not he can be flipped at the deadline with some retention for a decent pick.

We're not trading Wilson. If the caps do make a trade with Calgary I think it'll be for Dube

Tom Wilson is probably one of the most coveted players (of those rumored to be available) in the league and would bring back the edge CGY lost with Tkachuck leaving. Kuznetsov is a 55pts center at worst and gives you 70-80 pts normally. You could do A LOT worse for two players allegedly not wanting to stick around anymore.

I'm sorry, but notion that Ottawa might add a 3rd or whatever for Mantha at the deadline does pretty much nothing to sway my perspective here. Ottawa does really badly here.
