Just imagining Marchand and Pasta without Bergeron just seems weird

I think they still make the playoffs. Definitely wouldn't take them over Toronto, Carolina, or Jersey in the EC though. Depends how their centers perform. Goal tending and top four defense should still be very strong.

Seems plausible since Hall, DeBrusk, Coyle, Zacha, Grizz, forbort and Carlo have been available without much of a return expected.
Chicago was only team willing to take a chance.
Ullmarks no trade will hold up any deal with him.
Sweeney doesn’t seem to have a long term plan at this point.

I mean if they end up here, which is obviously not the hoped for plan, the plan is pretty obvious. See which of the kids are worth a roster spot and then go into next offseason with a core of Pasta, McAvoy, Lindholm, Carlo, Swayman, Zacha and any kids that show worth and 30 million in cap space. Carlo and Zacha most certainly are not on the "dump" list.

Even if Bergeron is back, they are going to look a lot more like how Dallas played under Montgomery than how the Bruins played last year under Montgomery.

Zacha was dumped last year for Haula at 3.1. Now he’s at 4.75. There isn’t a market for middle 6 wingers making that much. Carlo has concussion history and lots of term.
This team is screwed with no picks or prospects.

This is probably the most realistic scenario at this point, the only players that have any trade value are probably Debrusk, Ullmark, and Gryzlck and even then they won't return what they should due to the fact that any negotiating team has all the leverage due to Boston's cap issues. Going from last years third line to that third line will make me very sad
