Description
Absolutely no idea what Duchene will be looking for Term/AAV wise but given that he's still going to be collecting from Nashville I imagine he won't be seeking too much and most likely 1-2 yr deals with playoff teams.

Think they'll be keen to more than you anticipate. Tyler Myers also literally is a pylon, Petry can still produce and play at least, obviously not at what he was early in his career. Actually had a better year with the penguins than his prior year with the habs.

We’ll be playing rock paper scissors, then the notification that Detroit re-signed him will come in like a shotgun blast

I have a feeling whatever the deal is on the table between Van and SJ isn't a pure cap dump.

I don't think E-Rod is that great at a Center, but there's enough flexibility in that line up to give it a shot.

Petry is 36 with two years left. Myers is 33 with one year left. No brainer decision here sorry to say. Laroque will be ready next year to step in and don’t want a 37 year old in the way of the future. Its a pretty easy pass.

Feel like that could make for a very fun line though, i get that he may not be the best option, but would personally take him over someone like ROR.

Yeah i mean the majority of everyone's opinions on ACGM are incorrect...

People were trading Toffolio on here a week ago for 1st round picks and the Flames didn't come close to that.

It would certainly help Pittsburgh more dramatically reshape its blueline if they were able to trade Petry, but given the league-wide lack of cap space among contending teams a Petry deal seems unlikely. A Petry deal is unlikely to happen given the lack of interest league-wide.

Via the Athletic.

I am right.

Who’s the clown now, bozo?

Reputable sources, rofl okay Kevin Weekes. Is the athletic your reputable source? Because the athletic and Frank Seravalli were also the ones on the Petry news. So again, none of us (including yourself) know.

He is the Athletic writer for Pittsburgh. I’d say I am much closer to right than either of you. But what does he know, he only makes a living covering the team.

and you make a living doing what exactly? Cause I'd bet a writer from another city has a better ear to the ground on other teams than all of us on this website lol
