Good trade

The whole point of the 3 way deal from SJ's perspective is to have the third team retain additional salary on Karlsson.

You're not getting Pesce at 50% retention for 2 crappy prospects, a cap dump, and a 1st round pick... If you want to retain an additional $2-3M on Karlsson's contract in addition to what SJ is retaining then maybe you'll get Pesce for that package, but there is no reason for Edmonton to be gifted a valuable piece for nothing.

I'm making changes, I think it's a worthy suggestion.

Was the original trade Bourgault, Ceci, 2024 1st, and Brindamour for Pesce at 50%?



If so I think that's decent value all the way around. The above comment seems to have the idea that there are no good assets leaving any team except San jose?

Initially, instead of Bourgault, I suggested Evseev and Beryozkin, I consider them promising prospects, but I admit they are further from the main team than Bourgault and obviously with Bourgault I consider this offer worthy.
