I agree they need a 3c, I like haula with jack cause jack needs someone to take faceoffs for him. But if you do that you need another center. Judging by what fitzy has said it looks like they are not looking for a center though.

Could always be something that they look for mid-season or at the TDL. They should bring Henrique back.

I think this roster is ready for opening night. Maybe they get Helly if the price comes down but other than that I feel like they are set. All that is left to do it seems is sign a bunch of extra depth pieces (that can be buried)/PTOs as well and some 2-way deals.

I would really like to leave a spot for Clarke or Holtz to grab and keep some cap flexibility throughout the season. If a 3C is needed that can be addressed at the deadline. For now a 3C is not going to decided whether we make the playoffs or not. Would love Backlund at the TDL though.

I can buy the cap flexibility argument but leaving spots for prospects now that we're cup contenders is not smart imo. Need to maximize the chances year after year. it's tough to win a cup and you really can't win one if youre conservative about it.

If Holtz isn’t given a fair chance then I seriously question what the point in keeping him in the organization is anyway. We are already running rookies in Foote and Luke, possibly Nemec and Bahl is still fresh too. We are already penciling in some of these players so why can’t we do the same with our top forward prospect? He was taken 7th OA for a reason

Holtz needs to force his way onto the team. Coaching staff needs to be prepared to demote/scratch a player they've committed money to if he does so. But a spot should not be held open for him, since his development is secondary to winning a cup.

Also, you can run a decent d-core of 6 players without hughes or nemec in the lineup. Foote getting penciled in as 4LW is different than top9 W imo
