Sorry but no team is going to take on 2 cap dumps of injury-prone players for "future considerations" (which essentially end up being nothing). The Leafs are going to have to add a major sweetener (i.e. top draft pick and/or prospect) to entice any team.

Consider both players go in LTIR (and not actually traded to buffalo). I could not figure out how to accommodate this on armchair gm. So yes I agree with you.

Just move their names into the LTIR column of the Leafs roster - their cap hits don't add into the total.
