I like this team overall.. but I would rather keep liljegren and not sign dermott. Give up the pick with Murry and send hit to Chicago as I think they could use him. Over all, good work here

Philly is rebuilding and Nylander is not what they need. What they need is picks and prospects, which is what are giving up, so this trade doesn't make sense for them. Also I can't see Nylander signing with a rebuilding team

Nylander would LOVE the spotlight of a rebuilding team. I'm sure it would be a Win/Win. Need to sell tickets as a GM, and I'm sure Nylander can put some Butts in the seats while you rebuild.

Nylander is in his prime now and would much rather win now than be stuck on a team that isn't going to be competetive for years, and Nylander doesn't fit the timeline of their rebuild. Philly will have no problem selling tickets with them having multiple exciting young players that will bring people to the games.

Are you saying you wouldn't want Nylander on your team, or saying there is no chance? I think He'd do it. I've watched Nylander for years, and I think he wants the BAG.

What I'm saying is that Nylander trade makes no sense for Philly with their rebuild. If Philly would be at the end of a rebuild it would make more sense, but they officially started it this offseason, so they are only at the begining. Also Philly is loaded on RW right now with Konecny, Tippett, Atkinson, Foerster and Michkov.

Nylander can play Centre. Has many times.

He still doesn't fit Philly's rebuild. There are many other teams right now that would be a much better fit for him.

If I was the GM of the Flyers I wouldn't accept that trade. The assets and they are giving away are pretty valuable for their rebuild. It's not that I don't want Nylander on my team, but it just doesn't make sense for them to spend multiple valuable assets on a guy who they don't need at the begining of their rebuild and whose prime years would be wasted on a non competitive team.

Yeah usually I'd flail around and cry for seeing another Nylander to Philly trade, but him with Michkov sounds pretty great.
