You can't buy out Murray, the buyout window closed June 30.

Also it's going to cost a lot to unload contracts because your GM is dumb and went way over the cap and now he has zero leverage, so expect to pay up to move Brodie or Murray or both.

Forgot about the buyout window... Still def worth it to dump a first and/or a good prospect the clear the cap of murry and brodie

Hawks decline. Hawks MIGHT take Brodie for a 4th with F/C back to Toronto. Won't get better than that.

Actually, if Samsonov files for arbitration and wins his case, Leafs will have a 2nd 48 hr window to buy out Murray.

Yeah, that could work. Blackwell holds no real value to Hawks at this point.
