Shane Pinto should do what Kevin LaBanc did and sign for only a million
I would probably say no as a Hawks fan. Three years is a bit much term to swallow, at least in my opinion. And the Hawks are pretty well stocked on 2nds in the upcoming few drafts.
I think they would try to hold out for a 1st, but honestly this isn’t far off! Wouldn’t be surprised to see this (or something close to it) happen.

Excellent ranking. Surprised to see Moore (27) ahead of Benson (29)

Laf to the Hawks possible - BOB ELLIS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logicalicesports</b></div><div>Check out Bob Ellis' report, stating Davidson is offering this type package</div></div>
Who is this Bob Ellis? I’m guessing he isnt exactly Elliotte Friedman or Darren Dreger.
Laf is a bust, Reichel alone is already a more valuable asset. I can’t find any real sources that are saying anything about them getting traded for each other, and it would be the complete opposite of what Davidson’s been doing so far for the rebuild.
Hawks say no

Then again, trading away Kurashev loses us a solid forward as well 😅

Thanks Drew
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jfkst1</b></div><div>I doubt the Hawks would agree either as he is a pointless acquisition, but this notion that Petry is an albatross contract is brain dead. He's plenty capable of 20-22 minutes/game at 2RD on a contender. He does need a solid partner, but at his price and age, he shouldn't be expected to carry a pair anyway. If Petry were a UFA this year, he would be easily the best RD in the class. He's at most a million overpaid, but he's no liability like Granlund or Carter. Klingberg, Gudas, Dumba are all inferior players and arguably will be on worse value contracts.</div></div>
Agreed, Petry is far from an albatross. But I don’t believe the hawks are in a place to take advantage of him for the next couple of years.
I didn’t see he was still averaging over 22 mins a night. Impressive

I’d be surprised if you were able to move Petry's contract for less than a 1st. $6.25M with term is a tough pill to swallow. Hawks say no IMO

I didn’t even see the Raddysh/lafferty trade on my first look! May as well toss in Bedard while you’re at it

I realize you’re launching picks indiscriminately into the sun, but the hawks would never pay to take on Murray’s contract haha. Pass

It would take much more than a few late picks for the Hawks to take on 3 yrs of a contract. Pass from the Blackhawks

Free Agency
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Julius_Freezer</b></div><div>That package is better than what they'd get if Byram was Offer-Sheeted which is very likely this offseason as the Avs have very little cap space</div></div>
An $7x8 year offer sheet (if signed/accepted by Byram and not matched by the Avs) would be a package of four (!) 1st round picks getting sent over. And the Avs would easily match anything less for Byram

No from Chicago. We’re still interested in accumulating more draft capital, not trading it away for 30+ year old players. I like Toffoli, but he doesn’t fit the Blackhawks timeline at all.

Unconventional Thinking
I think the Hawks are hoping to get better picks for taking on any kind of cap. But if teams aren’t willing to part with their 1sts/2nds this year to dump cap, I could see the Hawks doing something like this, or something close to it. Maybe up the pick to a 3rd, rather than a 4th + 7th.
I appreciate an ACGM with this much thought + explanation put into it

with a new gm
I would imagine it would take more than a 2nd swap and upgrading a 5th to a 2nd to eat the last year of the Bailey contract, But I could be wrong! This definitely isn’t outrageous, I could see it going through.

Boeser for Kuznetsov
It will take more than a 4th to unload $6m in cap this off-season, sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also, Hawks have a logjam at RD. Between Jones Murphy and Zaitsev already signed for next year, and RFA RD’s Mitchell + Caleb Jones (RD/LD I think) possibly getting re-signed. We would have nothing to do with Myers’ contract
Either give up more value to get rid of him (2nd rd pick or swapping VAN 1st w Tampa’s 1st), or just buy out his contract

Bedard to Columbus
There’s no world in which the Blackhawks make this trade. But, if there was, the Hawks would be demanding Jiricek and Johnson as part of the trade. Which I imagine would nix the deal from Columbus’ POV

I don’t think the Hawks would take Murray for less than a 2nd, even with retention. Hawks are trying to hit the cap floor anyways, I feel like the Leafs retaining on this trade wouldn’t make sense from either teams POV

I pull the trigger as a Hawks fan. I’m hoping this off-season to pick up another two 1st rd picks. This does that in a single trade, and without us having to trade a 1st back. Losing our own 2nd hurts, in a draft this deep especially. But I wouldn’t risk sinking the deal over that.
I’d say yes as the Hawks

I honestly think this deal for Raddysh is fair. That said, I think the Hawks are hoping he can build off his 20 goal season, and flip him for a 1st at the deadline. So I don’t think we would go for this.

I’d pull the trigger as a Hawks fan. Pageau seems like he’d be a solid 2nd line center behind Bedard. we could possibly retain on him and flip him for a 3rd or better, next year or the year after.
