I pull the trigger as a Hawks fan. I’m hoping this off-season to pick up another two 1st rd picks. This does that in a single trade, and without us having to trade a 1st back. Losing our own 2nd hurts, in a draft this deep especially. But I wouldn’t risk sinking the deal over that.
I’d say yes as the Hawks

Good Summer
I honestly think this deal for Raddysh is fair. That said, I think the Hawks are hoping he can build off his 20 goal season, and flip him for a 1st at the deadline. So I don’t think we would go for this.

I’d pull the trigger as a Hawks fan. Pageau seems like he’d be a solid 2nd line center behind Bedard. we could possibly retain on him and flip him for a 3rd or better, next year or the year after.

Build Upon Last Year
I think it seems pretty friendly to take on $9m in cap this year + another $5m next year for just a deferred 2nd rd pick and a swap. But I don’t think this really interferes with any of the other planned moves I’ve heard rumors about. Doesn’t hurt!
I’d pull the trigger as the Hawks.

Hawks are not in the market for a goalie. We already have a couple signed, and if anything would acquire Murray for a 1st (or to upgrade a 2nd to a 1st). I do not see us paying for a project goalie.

Leafs next year
I’m a hawks fan who’s more eager than most to get rid of Jones. That said, I don’t think the Hawks pull the trigger on this. Too many picks getting sent the other way, doesn’t make sense for a rebuilding team to be shipping out three 2nds IMO

Trade Back
I’d pull the trigger as a Hawks fan. Our 2nd round pick is pretty valuable, just barely outside the 1st round, in a deep year. But I’d ship it with Tampa’s 1st to get a top 10 pick

Hawks fan here, I’d agree to this trade if I were in charge. I’m willing to burn however much cap if it nets us a 1st rounder where we don’t have to give up a 1st or 2nd in return.
I don’t know enough about the pens to say if it’d be worth it for you to move the 14th overall for ~$8M in cap space and a couple late picks

CHI would have no interest giving up assets for the kind of player we could easily find in free agency.
CHI declines.

Just A Bit Outside The Box
I’m going to go against the grain here and say the Blackhawks should accept this trade.
HEAR ME OUT FELLOW HAWKS FANS!! PLEASE!!! HAVE MERCY!!
I have a lot of love for Seth Jones. I think he has the potential to return to top 10 Norris voting form if given the right system/teammates. In addition, he could provide a great deal of value to the Hawks by playing the heaviest minutes and sheltering + mentoring some of our upcoming D prospects.
HOWEVER
When our upcoming prospects (Reichel, Korchinski, Bedard) are entering their prime production years, Jones will likely be in the last several years of his deal, as a 33-35 year old. Not many D-men age like Giordano. At that point in time, the Hawks may find it more valuable have that ~$5M in dead salary and have the other ~$5M to spend on free agency or re-sign some of the many 1st rd picks we have coming up.
In addition to freeing up that future salary, we would also acquire a top 20 overall pick in a highly lauded draft, and another pick + prospect.
All told, I would accept this trade as the Hawks.

BOS/CHI seems like an even trade. Bruins dump a bit of salary at the cost of a distant 3rd. Hawks pick up a depth piece to fill out the lineup and get us a bit closer to the cap floor.
Hawks have a logjam at LD so I’d guess Reilly or someone else is getting buried or bought out. But then again, we have cap to burn

No way is Columbus taking that back, it was highway robbery! That said, it certainly set the Blackhawks up nicely to draft Bedard…so I can live with it as a hawks fan 😉

Even if it was supposed to be Tampa’s 1st rd pick (19th overall), the hawks would still say no. We would absolutely not be adding two 2nd rd picks (including the 35th overall) to move up 8 spots

VAN - CHI
From everything I’ve heard, cap relief will cost a premium this off-season. If the hawks were to eat $12.6M for Vancouver, we aren’t giving up a 2nd as well just to upgrade our first by 8 spots. That’ll cost Vancouver more

I like this. I’d hope the Hawks could get away with trading one of their later 2nd round picks rather than our own. But I’m a big believer in Turcotte, and if we can get him without burning any of the 1sts we already have, I say we pull the trigger

I think the Hawks take this. We have no need for an LD at the moment. But like you said, he’s a cheap top 4 D option. I think we could retain and flip him at the deadline for better picks than the 5th+7th we’re giving up.

Potential CHI-VAN trade from The Athletic
Trades obviously look very good from Chicago’s POV. I understand these trades would be awful for the other teams involved, but the reported price of eating contracts this off-season is sky high.
Unfortunately, if these teams want to shed players like Murray/Garland etc, it’s going to cost them. Boeser I think still has some value though. I’m not sure he would be the one included in this

pick swap with OEL
Hawks say no, and I don’t think it’s particularly close. The pick swap alone is probably close to fair value. Vancouver’s 11th overall to the hawks for the 19th overall and 35th overall.
OEL is $7M/4 years. That’ll take a 1st+ to get off your books. Not to mention Beauvillier at ~$4M next year. I don’t think we’re even close here
