You do know he's on an expiring UFA deal, right?

It's a Leafs fan making the AGM. So of course it's a wild fleecing.

Yeah, given that it actually saves them $500K in cap space and helps with defense, this could be an enticing offer. The only issue would be with Stephenson as a left winger, and no clear replacement for WIllie on the right wing (in general, not at 40 goals).

Right, so a full season and they could do the extending at $9.5 or trade him at the deadline. Not a flawless option, but a 40 goal, point a game player for Chandler potting 20 max? Hardly a fleecing.

What year is this ?
H was behind only Bergeron , Tavares and Giroux for Win % over 1000 draws
He's one of the best Faceoff Centers in the entire NHL . . . .

Thats like me calling Matthews just a Winger, its ignores fact
Regardless it makes more sense to just re-sign Stephenson who is cheaper and a better fit who's more likely to take less to stay.
He's coming off 2nd straight 60pts year with 10 goals 10 assists in 22 games to win a Stanley Cup
Will may get an extra 20 pts in the regular season but come playoffs i'd rather have Stephenson then Nylander (and i want Nylander in MTL but still Stephenson a better fit)

You kinda left out the two straight 1sts, Chayka, the reliable defensive Dman and the couple million in immediate cap space there.

I did not say it was a great deal for Vegas, nor did I say that Stephenson had no value, just a lineup position issue.

So fist bumping Federov isnt gonna do it?

It’s gotta be something intimidating. Evil stars may work.
