Based on comments by GM Kyle from Chicago today, it takes a 2nd at least to move Joseph to Chicago now, if they take him at all. Sounds like the Hawks cap dump shop might be closed.

I would say yes to this deal as a Detroit fan

I like the idea of Berggren on the Sens, but he sure does not fit their playstyle.

Would rather keep him for the year as an own rental then give him away for Pennie’s. Have fun paying him 9 mil next year as a ufa

You’re going to get Pennie’s regardless. If you keep him until the TDL and the team you trade him to knows he won’t resign with them, you’re not going to get a big offer. Or you keep him for the season, miss the playoffs by 3 points and lose him for nothing.
