At this point there is no rush. Devils will be in the playoffs one way or another. But my Bruins will be there, likely ready to discuss Ullmark!

Fun fact: his 5m AAV would fit neatly under your projected cap by swapping him in for Vanecek, and he has the same term!

Maybe if Schmid takes a step back and they need a veteran 1B to tandem with Vanecek. But switching goaltenders mid-year is usually not a good sign. Looks like they will go with the guys they’ve got today.

Boston probably makes the most sense considering they are strapped and have 2 solid starters. I don’t think they’d want VV back and I’m not sure he’s a deadline day type of move either
