Part of me thinks: you've got the space, it seems like Briere is embracing the rebuild, so why not run Cal Petersen out there as your #2 goalie to see if you can build back some value? If he still stinks, then waive him again and run the rest of the year with Ersson as the #2. But feels like there's an opportunity there to try and wring some value out of him instead of not even bothering with him.
