Sens backed into a corner. Even if they win arbitration they still would need to pay ADB, 7.65 million(15% of 9 million) which they do not have space for at this time. They have 15 players signed and roughly 9 million in cap space. If they win they would have 16 players signed and 1.25 million in cap. That is not enough to field a team of 20 players. Dorion is in trouble. I know they have two player on LTIR, but they sooner otr later are going to come back and play. The sticking point is what ADB wants in his next contract and until that is done Ottawa is holding the bag. He needed to be traded before FA and now that is gone, Ottawa is not in a good bargaining position.

And Mazur is a no go.

I'd take this I'd rather keep Berggren.
