Good luck getting a 1st round pick out of Yzerman, Doubt Yzerman gives up more than Berggren+2nd round pick for DeBrincat. This is wishful thinking.

With the predicament that OTT is in now with Debrincat, I can't see anyone giving Dorian a 1st round pick, unless OTT adds in some sweetener. For DET, I don't think the sweetener would be Brannstrom. It could be Formenton+4th round pick for BOS 1st round pick plus Kubalik and a 3rd rounder.

I suspect Dorian will keep Debrincat until the TDL, trades him (if he takes off, he commands a 1st round pick from a contender, if not, he'll eat a 2nd rounder), and Debrincat walks into UFA next year.

If I'm Yzerman, I don't give up either 1st round pick. BOS could really fall off a cliff, making that a mid-1st (they are in big trouble cap wise, with no 1st or 2nd line C). Anything after the 1st round is game though.
